Birth Month Flower

Everybody knows about birthstones, but did you know that each month is represented by a specific flower as well?  It is said that the characteristics of each birth month flower may be inherited by anyone born in that month.  The tradition of giving flowers as gifts goes back as far as the Romans, and it was during the Victorian era in England that the language of flowers was introduced, giving meanings to flowers.  This enabled people to convey messages to those they loved through the gift of flowers.
